Four score and seven years ago — wait, 166 years to be more accurate — the “Down South Submarine” (more commonly known as the “kazoo”) made history with its debut appearance at the Georgia State Fair.
This beloved musical instrument delivers so much simplistic joy that it is now honored with a day of its very own: National Kazoo Day! Yes, this annual celebration is really a thing!
